With the help of the latest media and technologies, geographical understanding and an artistic flair for the essentials, a panoramic map is created according to your wishes and ideas. Information from official maps, satellite images, digital elevation data and terrain models are combined in this unique map form to vividly showcase your region.
First of all, a computerised model of the region to be depicted is created. Based on joint discussions, the most important key data is already recorded in this model. These are parameters such as: exact terrain section, viewing direction - height and angle, angle of inclination of the terrain, type of perspective, superelevation scale and lighting. In this phase of work, close co-operation with the customer is highly recommended, as this allows YOUR wishes and ideas to be optimally incorporated into the illustration. The presentation is optimised step by step so that maximum information and clarity is provided every time
The characteristic forms of the landscape are now worked out in a multitude of subjective and artistic decisions. In this way, the striking features are emphasised and special landscape features are staged. This gives the landscape its typical character. This work cannot be done by a computer, as it takes a variety of subjective decisions to optimise the result. Creative and artistic sense is therefore required. This is why the actual panoramic map is still painted by hand!
All topographical content is now gradually being added to the map: Road and water network, vegetation, settlement areas, etc.
In this working phase, the panorama map is finally given its character and given life through the design of light, mood, atmosphere and colour scheme.
The finished panoramic map is only digitised once the customer is completely satisfied. In a final step, the text layer and layout are designed in the digitised data set using layout software. Thematic content such as hiking and cycle path networks, ski lifts, pictograms, legends etc. are also incorporated here.
All maps leave the studio only after the customer is completely satisfied. Only then does the card receive the ‘’Königs logo‘’. My customers always receive the high-resolution, print-ready data set of their map, including text typesetting and layout - simply ‘ready for print’.
